Even though it was a beautiful day, we all decided to take time to get some rest from exploring and driving. We slept in late, ate a nice breakfast at home, read, and Christopher and I took a nice walk around our small town.
There are “modern” structures behind the main ones: a small elementary school with about thirty kids and a library, a small playground, and even tennis courts. There is a big park with picnic tables with paths and a bocce ball court. We saw teenagers playing a game there on our first day. One of the garages on the Main Street rolls up and becomes a tiny fruits and vegetables place. It’s a real French village—everyone knows everyone and everyone’s business.
After a lovely afternoon of relaxation, Christopher booked us for dinner in a well-regarded restaurant nearby, Auberge de Saugras.
Can’t talk now, eating!
It was marvelous. Best morels ever.
