We could have easily ordered just half of the food at the Bowling Alley last night and still walked away stuffed. So today we are digesting.
It was a bit drizzly outside. We huddled in sweaters and read—a perfect Jane Austin style day or two after our more active adventures.
We are traveling with tea that Zoe gave us, and the Lansargue vineyard also gave us their local honey. Tim, now the English gentleman, was thrilled to discover a proper tea pot in the kitchen.
Later in the afternoon, when the drizzle died down, Christopher and I wandered through our beautiful village a bit more and took pictures.
We went to a charming place for dinner: Auberge du Vieux Pont, in the nearby village of Palmas.
Tim had an amazing fish soup presented in a huge decorated ceramic tureen—we split the soup four ways and still had leftovers. But, in truth, we’d been spoiled by the fabulousness of Argelliers’ Auberge de Saugras; the meal was very good, but we could only award it, overall, a B+.
